Carlota Inglesa at Cocina Rica

Now I don’t know if it was my subconscious taking hold of my body, but the time I chose to go to the card production shop, was during the hour it was closed (12:00 – 1:00). Well I needed to cool my heals (literally) so I thought “Why not head over to Cocina Rica and have a leisurely dessert for thirty minutes or so.
I wanted something special; of course everything there is special, so that should be easy. Ah, I spoke too quickly. Every time I walk up to the pastry area and gaze through the display window, I have this terrible panic that I am not going to be able to make a decision.
Today, I finally decided on a decadent chocolate dessert called Carlota Inglesa. I think I remembered the name correctly. If I didn’t and you have it, send me the name and I will correct this post. It is a chocolate with caramel and some sort of English cream dessert that will take care of any chocolate fix you may need taking care of. It was $1.95 and it was excellent!
It was a good thing that I was going to get more exercise walking home to burn off a 1/10 of the calories I was taking in.

The cake — dessert — looks great but the dish is magnificent. The price seems about right too.
For the quality of the desserts at Cocina, I think they can ask those prices. They have about the best in town.
[...] So far, I have not found anything in Cocina Rica that I don’t rave about. It is just a sample of what a special night of food and music that you can expect at the night of Jazz. [...]
